Brittany Murphy – Cause of Death Released by L.A. County Coroner

Before we dive into the cause of Brittany Murphy's death, let's address the photo above.  What the GOTdamnHELL is that?  That weird-ass husband of Brittany's, Simon ConMonjack and her mom, Sharon Murphy are holding a photo of the deceased actress that really could pass for a brunette version of Courtney Love.  Monjack is supposedly a photographer (and I'm pretty sure he took the photo above--he's not one to promote anyone besides himself, don'tcha know).  Seriously?  The couldn't have framed up a better, more flattering photograph of Brittany?  These two oddballs are making Brittany look like the exact kind of girl they are saying she wasn't -- a full-blown anorexic drug addict.

Anyway, L.A. County Coroner has announced that Brittany Murphy died of  "community acquired pneumonia, with contributing factors of iron deficiency anemia and "multiple drug intoxication",  and her death was ruled accidental.  The Coroner also suggested that her death was probably preventable.  She was a tiny girl who wasn't taking care of herself, and her family clearly didn't step in to help her.  A hospital stay and some appropriate medications most likely would have saved her.

That's just shameful for everyone concerned.
