David Fincher’s ‘The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo’ Trailer – We Have It Again!

Rooney Mara as Lisbeth Salander
My heart is racing just a little too hard right now. I just watched the red band trailer for David Fincher's film The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo. Ho.Lee.SHIT.
Let's start with the terrifying version of Led Zeppelin's Immigrant Song re-worked by Trent Reznor, Karen O of the Yeah Yeah Yeah's. I'm scared already...in the best way.
Oh, and I'm not one of those Pretentious Illiterates (thanks Zach G. for the perfect descriptive adjective) who think that this is a "REMAKE" of the Swedish film based on the book of the same title. I believe this is genius director David Fincher's interpretation of the book by the late Stieg Larsson. I wasn't all that impressed with the Swedish subtitled-version, directed by Niels Arden Oplev. I didn't dislike it, I just wasn't blown away. All I had been hearing was how brutal and gorgeous and foreign it was--and frankly, there was one very specific scene that to me, wasn't nearly as violent or explicit as it should have been. I'm positive Fincher, Reznor, et al will give me some satisfaction. I certainly hope this film gets an R-rating.

Reznor, Fincher, Mara and Karen O
I really cannot wait for this film. David Fincher and Trent Reznor are a match made in this girl's Dark Heaven. And that tag-line? "The Feel Bad Movie of Christmas".
Merry Christmas, indeed.
