‘Girl With the Dragon Tattoo’ Official Trailer

Counting. The. DAYS.
Okay. Y'all ready for this? Fincher. Mara. Craig. Sands. Plummer, and REZNOR??
However, this trailer still gives me chills...in the best way possibly.
And yes, to all of the snoots out there, I've seen the Swedish version of "The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo". If you haven't noticed, I am fully capable of READING SUB-TITLES, so just don't EVEN. Simply because a film is originally foreign-made, does not necessarily make it better.
The Swedish film was not nearly violent enough--particularly during Lisbeth's "revenge" scene. It fell flat, in my opinion. I'm counting on my beloved David Fincher to satisfy my lust for woman on man violent payback in spades. I need more lengthy and extreme close-ups of Lisbeth with her tattoo gun, and other weapons of choice. The Swedish version of this particular scene was a complete mediocre let-down. Unsatisfying. Am I coming in clear?
I'm counting on an Oscar sweep. Ya hear me talkin' to ya, Academy Members? I do not like being let down.

Wow! Looks incredible…much darker, edgier than the Swedish version (which I liked, but totally agree with you…)

Exactly, Brandie–David Fincher and that amazing cast/crew will BRING it. And with Trent Reznor’s score? I’m looking at the calendar and watch for the opening. xoxo j

You know what sucked was the American version of “let the right one in” I had to splash ammonia in my eyes to burn out the images. I’ve never seen these tattoo movies or read the books, I just heard the girlfriend got screwed by the family cause she co wrote it and he died and his family got all the money. That’s shady. So I don’t get it, why so good?

Yeah, there are all those weird financial things going on, but I’m no expert on Swedish law. All I know is the Swedish version was far too tame. With David Fincher (Fight Club, Social Network, Se7en, etc.) I have a feeling he won’t hold back on the details the Swedish film left out…or made less violent, when it was completely non-gratuitous to follow the true story-line. Y’all know I love a good revenge scene when the monster deserves it. xoxo j

I also read the books and saw the Swedish film. You’re right – it was lacking in atmosphere. Not creepy enough compared to the books. This looks promising:-) X

I had to spend some time alone after watching the “chair scene” in “Casino Royal” scene over the weekend.
It gets me every time. (Not because he’s being hurt–but because he’s such a badass while it’s happening!) I might make it a screensaver. Heh.
