Indoor Air Plants In Seattle

Old Man Winter is rapidly approaching. I’m coming to terms with watching my local produce stand close, I'm reminding myself that Fall may take the beautiful display of seasonal fruits and veg from my dining room table, but they will never take my hand blown glass bowl. Putting it too good use, I've decided to look into keeping my kitchen looking lively through the chilly months with a plant that in the Northwest is proving to be, too good to be true.

Air plants or epiphytes are everywhere here in Seattle. There are designers creating bowls, arches, domes... you name it specifically geared to attract the allure of Air Plants. With working, Mothering a tiny man (AND two full grown men) the beauty of this plant is alarmingly simple. All we need is Love you say? All they needs is air.

If you aren't in town you can find these on etsy.com (told you they were trendy) or Amazon at incredibly reasonable rates. These fellas don't require dirt, have the ability to thrive for long periods without water, however those with heavy hands fret not. Air plants are almost impossible to over water. The best part... they live wherever your heart desires, a one of a kind tea cup, and empty wall, or those seashells you HAD to have from the coast, but are now chewing up space in your closet.
