Rumor has it that Elton John may be replacing Simon Cowell on "American Idol",  once Simon leaves the show in May.

Here's the thing...over the past two night of the new season of "Idol", Simon has made me love him.  Oh, yes he has.  All of a sudden, he's Mr.  Charming Naughty Brit.  (Sidebar: I found Mary J. Blige to be rude and ill-mannered  toward many of the Atlanta contestants last night.  Her constant laughter was just plain cruel.   I understand that some of the folks were ridiculously untalented, but wow. ) Anyway, I'm right about Simon, aren't I?  Total sweetheart -- while still having a bit of the cranky-doodle we love (or hate).

Elton John will be Head Bitch in Charge (HBiC) and probably irritate the other judges with diva behavior.   I think this opportunity will give him license to be hateful to the dirty masses who trudge out to perform like trained seals at his feet.  Anyway...it's just a rumor,  so who knows?
