I lost all interest in ANY of the other performers on the BET Awards after seeing Janelle Monae.
Uh-mazing.

The whole Prince tribute was the highlight of what was an ok show. Patti kicking off her Louboutins during “Purple Rain” did it for me!

Prince actually asked Janelle Monae personally to perform for him and she killed it! Great job Janelle, as usual! The song was very fitting! No one could have done it better!

It’s great to see how Prince supports this wonderful artist. He surprised her by showing up at the ASCAP Awards last Friday just to see her accept her award. Awesome tribute as a whole, but yeah, Janelle was definitely the highlight! He totally approved!
