This is shaping up to be the Summer of Love. A number of celebrities have tied the knot recently, including actors Javier Bardem and Penelope Cruz. The couple got married earlier this month at a friends' home in the Bahamas. It was a small ceremony with just family and close friends. This is the first marriage for both, but you will remember Penelope had a high profile relationship with Tom Cruise. Javier, definite upgrade!

The two first met on their first film together, and Penelope's first acting role, in Jamon, Jamon. They have also costarred in Live Flesh, and most recently Vicki Christina Barcelona. If you ever get the chance to see the Spanish film, Bendito Infierno (English title: Don't Tempt Me) where Penelope plays an angel competing for the soul of a boxer, there's a cameo by Javier as the male form of Penelope's character. She also dances to the song Kung Fu Fighting. I can't help but be cynical about everyone else that has decided to get married recently (Bitter Bitch? Table for One!), but I wish nothing but the best for these two!
