Jennifer Lopez Confirmed For American Idol
Ms. AutoTune-Lip Synch-Dropped By Her Record Label-Lopez. Is she REALLY the best person to judge American Idol?
Get ready to have Jennifer Lopez sexily stare into your soul from the judge's panel. While she has been enjoying Fashion Week from the front way, her reportedly over $12 million dollar deal to co-judge the popular talent show was being finalized. Lopez begins her job next week, as she will be joining Steven Tyler and Randy Jackson during the auditions. What kept this all from being a done deal earlier was that Jennifer wanted movie and TV development deals in the contract, but Fox poo-pooed all of that and she settled. Interesting tidbit, Jen's contract is only for one year. Kara DioGuardi must be cleaning her shotgun right about now.
I have a feeling the word of the season will be "condescending".
So there were rumors that Jennifer's diva like demands had gotten out of hand. FOX insiders and executives are insisting that all those rumors are false, and the competition is leaking the stories to sabotage her. Everyone knows that she is difficult to work with and of course FOX wants to keep the peace as much as possible. She probably asked for her Coke Cola to be served at room temperature and presented to her on a silver platter in a champagne glass. You get a big, red plastic cup like everyone else, Jennifer! Although neither Lopez or FOX have made an official statement yet, a source close to the star says that "she is very excited."
I'm sure she is.

Rumors about “diva” behavior invovling these negoiations were lies spread by someone with an axe to grind…it was revealed on another show.
I like her..wish her luck.
I NEVER watch American Idol..only checked out auditions with Simon’s comments because they were pricelss. The show is annoying…how can anyone stand that singing and kids who don’t even know the origins of the songs they’re sining or the words…
they have a sense of entitlement and just want fame.
That said…Simon and Paula’s back and forth was cute but FOX really bled this show dry…it’s on too much and it’s novelty is over.
