Madonna Rocks The Super Bowl Halftime Show

Madonna Sandwiched by Nikki Minaj and M.I.A.
I expected nothing less than a spectacle from Madonna and that's exactly what she gave us. For about 13 minutes or so, Madonna rocked the Bridgestone Halftime Show in a Givenchy gladiator outfit with some fabulous Dior boots. She was joined by dozens of dancers as she went through her catalog, kicking things off with "Vogue."
She then went into her 2000 hit "Music" and shuffled with LMFAO, then the stage gave way to a crowd of cheerleaders for her latest single "Give Me All Your Luvin,'" for her upcoming album MDNA. Nicki Minaj's mouth seemed to be moving faster than her pre-recorded words, but of course the thing everyone will be talking about tomorrow is M.I.A. throwing up a middle finger to the camera. I wasn't expecting a nipple, but there had to be something for folks to complain about.

Cee-Lo and Madge
Because NBC has to have him involved in everything, Cee Lo came out in a glittery robe for "Like A Prayer" but he seemed to actually be singing live, and well at that. Cue gospel choir and it was a great end to what was one of the better halftime shows in the past couple of years. Madge even did her part to encourage world peace, too bad that peace didn't extend to Twitter, but for the most part people loved it.

Sharply, deeply divided reactions. A lot of disgustingly sexist commentary all over FB and Twitter. But… Madonna sure can provoke. Bless her. Thanks for the write-up and great photos.
