After 13 years of thongs and push up bras, Heidi Klum is retiring from Victoria's Secret. Klum became a Victoria's Secret model in 1997 and an Angel in 1999. Since then, she has been the Mama Angel and pretty much the face of all things VS.
"All good things have to come to an end. I will always love Victoria and never tell her secret. It's been an absolute amazing time!" the Project Runway host said in a statement.
Heidi was always one of my favorite Angels, along with Adriana Lima and Karolina Kurkova. Past VS spokeswomen include Tyra Banks, who after she left went on to start The Tyra Banks Show, and Gisele Bundchen.
Ed Razek, President and Chief Marketing Officer of Limited Brands, parent company of Victoria's Secret, says that "Heidi will always be an Angel."
Over the past couple of years, VS has bought in some new faces from the high fashion world, including Doutzen Kroes, Chanel Iman and modeling those oh so classy Halloween "costumes", Candice Swanepoel.
With the exception of Doutzen, Candice and Miranda Kerr, I'm not feeling the new chicks. They're too skinny and lack the personalities off their predecessors.
Heidi, you certainly will be missed. It's the end of a big-boobed era.
