Jon Bon Jovi’s Daughter ODs On Heroin In College Dorm; Arrested In New York

Jon Bon Jovi and Daughter, Stephanie

Ugh. This makes my stomach hurt.

Jon Bon Jovi's only daughter Stephanie, 19,  has reportedly overdosed on heroin and has been arrested, along with another student at Hamilton College in upstate New York.

via Boston.com:

"Stephanie Bongiovi was found unresponsive by an ambulance crew sent to Hamilton College early Wednesday after a report that a female had apparently overdosed in Dunham Hall, the school’s largest dorm.

Town of Kirkland police investigator Peter Cania said Bongiovi, of Red Bank, N.J., was recovering at a hospital he declined to name.

Officers sent to the dorm initially found a small amount of heroin and arrested Ian Grant, 21, also of Red Bank and a Hamilton student, according to police reports.

Investigators got a search warrant for the dorm and found heroin, marijuana and drug paraphernalia, leading to Bongiovi’s arrest. Cania would not say whether the search involved her room.

Police didn’t know whether Bongiovi or Grant have lawyers. Jon Bon Jovi’s representative wasn’t commenting Wednesday.

Bongiovi and Grant were each charged with seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, a misdemeanor. Bongiovi was also charged with fourth-degree criminal possession of marijuana and criminally using drug paraphernalia, both misdemeanors, and unlawful possession of marijuana, a violation."

I know the pain parents feel when this monster creeps into the family. Heroin is a horrible, menacing drug--and no family is immune to its quiet terror.  If you think your child won't try it--think again.  It's cheap and readily available. Educate yourself as parents, and above all, don't think for one second you're above it all.

Our good thoughts are with Jon, his family and of course, with Stephanie.  It's a rough road ahead, but recovery is always possible. If you or a loved one have an addiction problem, ADDRESS it.  Don't sweep it under the rug.

Lisa Marie Presley Opens Up about Elvis

Lisa Marie at Graceland by her crib

Lisa Marie Presley is speaking candidly about her superstar father Elvis, who died in 1977, when she was 9.

Now the mother of four children herself, Presley told The Sun newspaper:

'It hit home when I turned 42 as that was the age when my father died, and his mum too. I have moments when I wish he had lived to see my children, of course I do. And I speak to my little ones about him. I tell them who he was and we love his music.'

Raised by her mother Priscilla, Lisa Marie talked with The Telegraph about the long shadow her father's legacy has  cast on her own musical career. She began writing songs at the age of 20 but didn't release her first CD until over a dozen years later.

Storm and Grace came out earlier this year and many have taken some of the lyrics it contains ("religion so corrupt and running lives") as proof positive that Presley has broken with The Church of Scientology. For decades, she and her mother were two of the most high profile members of the cult organization.

Presley refuses to talk about religion or her four marriages, which include unions with Michael Jackson and Nic Cage. If she starts singing songs about life with those two, I'll be the first in line.

Having moved to the English countryside in 2010, with her latest husband and their now four-year old twins in tow, Presley now enjoys a relaxed life, complete with pints at the local pub.

I almost always "root" for the children of superstars and am glad Lisa Marie seems to be flourishing across the pond.

Storm and Grace is currently available for purchase on iTunes.

Reese Witherspoon Gives Birth to a Baby Boy!

Look! We caught her as hard labor hit!

Congratulations are in order for Reese Witherspoon and her husband Tim Roth Jim Toth (I can never get that right the first time!) who welcomed a baby boy in Los Angeles.  The couple named their new son Tennessee James, which I kind of love!

Tennessee is Reese’s third child, but her first one with her second hubby. She has two other children, Ava and Deacon with her ex-hubby, Ryan Phillippe.

Ryan, Deacon and Ava Phillippe

Deacon and Ava are darling.  Ava is certainly Reese's Mimi-Me--right down to the snippy, curt, disapproving expression--and that makes me love her even more.

Ooooh--it's been awhile since our friend, Snippy the Giraffe made an appearance! Ava and Snippy are TWINSIES!

Denise Richards, Stepmother of the Year

Denise Richards with daughters Sam, Eloise, Lola and Brooke With Max and Bob

Photos: USmagazine.com

Rumors of how she got her start in show business aside, Denise Richards is not someone I've ever spent a lot of time thinking about. I believe Charlie Sheen to be mentally unwell, so while titillating, whatever went down during their marriage is of no interest to me. There was that messiness about the time line of her dating Richie Sambora when he and Heather Locklear split, but it was garden variety he said/she said stuff.

In addition to the two daughters she had with Sheen, Denise adopted a baby girl last year, becoming the primary caregiver to three children under 7 years of age. Even WITH a house full of help that is a busy work load for a responsible parent.

All dem Sheen/Richards/Mueller babies...

Recently pictures have surfaced of Denise with Charlie Sheen and Brooke Mueller's 3 year old twin boys, Max and Bob on an outing in Malibu with  Richards' daughters Sam, 8, Lola, 7, and Eloise, 16 months.

Substance abuse, divorce, and custody issues, sprinkled with tens of millions of dollars is a recipe for disaster. Whatever is actually happening in the Richards-Sheen-Mueller household, I am glad to see the kids together, being raised by the most stable (seemingly at least) adult of the trio...Denise.

So whether or not this is a ploy for another spin on the reality show roulette wheel, I'm still nominating Denise Richards for Co-Parent of the Year.

Sage Stallone, Son of Sylvester Stallone, Dead From Overdose at 36 **UPDATE** Sage Dead For At Least 3 Days, Living in Squalor

Sage Moonblood Stallone

**UPDATE**

via TMZ.com

Sage Stallone was dead in his room for a minimum of 3-4 days and possibly as long as a week ... this according to law enforcement sources connected with the case.

Our sources tell TMZ ... Sage "lived like Howard Hughes" ... he often spent days in his room which was "littered with junk," including an enormous number of cigarette butts, beer and soda cans, and food.

We're told there were two drawers filled with various pill bottles, some of which were "huge."

Our sources say Sage was living like a hermit ... no one had spoken with him since a week ago Friday. Although the housekeeper had been there earlier this week, she had specific ongoing instructions never to enter Sage's room. In fact, we're told the housekeeper was told to never even knock at the door.

One law enforcement source called the room "disgusting," saying it reeked of various smells.

We're told Sage's mother called the housekeeper yesterday after being unable to reach him, asking her to stop by and check on him. That's when she discovered the body.

Law enforcement sources tell us it's pretty clear from the evidence they saw ... Sage's death was an accident.

It's being reported that the son of action star, Sylvester Stallone, Sage Moonblood Stallone has died from a drug overdose at the age of 36 year old.

via LATimes.com:

"Sage Stallone, the son of Sylvester Stallone, was found dead at his San Fernando Valley home Friday, a law enforcement source said.

Los Angeles police who were asked to make a welfare check at the home found the body, said the sources, who spoke on the condition of anonymity because the case was ongoing.

No cause of death has been determined, and no other details were immediately available.

Sage Stallone was born in Los Angeles in 1976. He appeared as an actor in several movies, including some with his father, such as "Rocky V" and "Daylight."

He was 36.

[Updated at 4:54 a.m.: Stallone’s body was found by his housekeeper in his Studio City home this morning, said his lawyer, George Braunstein.

He said the cause of death was under investigation. “We don’t have any of the details,” Braunstein said. “He wasn’t depressed. He was thinking about getting married. He just had his whole life ahead of him.”

He was the son of Sylvester Stallone and his first wife, Sasha Ash. Sage had no children.]

Ugh...this is awful.  Just awful.  We'll keep you posted with more details, although this post is plenty horrific on its own.

Our hearts go out to the the Stallone family.
