Anne Hathaway Marries Adam Shulman – First Photos!

Photos: FabSugar.com

Anne Hathaway is officially married, as confirmed by People. The actress married Adam Schulman in a ceremony in Big Sur, California. This was the site of Natalie Portman's wedding back in August, but we suspect that Anne's nuptials weren't as granola.

More than 100 guests were attendance for the weekend wedding held at a private estate. Hathaway wore a custom gown designed by her friend Valentino.

Reportedly, Yifat Oren was the wedding planner, who also organized Portman's wedding. The wedding décor was inspired by nature, with many branches used to create a ceremony and reception to blend in with the majestic Big Sur surroundings, a source told People.

Shulman, 31, an actor and jewelry designer proposed to Hathaway, 29, last November after three years of dating.

Natalie Portman Has a Vegan Wedding

A beaming Natalie Portman during her big day...

When Natalie Portman showed up to the Academy Awards earlier this year wearing a ring there were rumors she had secretly gotten married to Benjamin Millepied. They officially married over the weekend at a private residence in Big Sur, California, as confirmed by US Weekly.

Natalie and Benjamin

Photos leaked on microblogging site Twitter showed a grinning Portman, wearing ballet flats, in a tea-length, A-line dress with a sheer overlay that covered her arms and shoulders, and a long veil, in keeping with Jewish custom.

It was said to be an intimate, Jewish ceremony held at night with around 60 guests. Among them were actor Macauley Culkin and Ivanka Trump. There was also a strictly vegan menu, keeping with the bride's diet and the guests were sent home with packets of wildflower seeds as favors.

French Macarons

Instead of a wedding cake, the celebration ended with French “macarons”: rich, typically meringue-based cookies were served.  Natalie's white, tea length dress was by Rodarte. Kate and Laura Mulleavy of the brand designed the ballet costumes for Natalie's character in 'Black Swan,' depending on who you ask.

Natalie and Benjamin met on the set of 'Black Swan' where he worked as a choreographer. In December of 2010 they announced they were engaged and expecting a child, now 14-month old son Aleph.

Natalie Portman Reveals Name of Baby

Natalie and Benjamin

The Huffington Post first learned of the news and now People is confirming that Natalie and her fiance Benjamin Millepied have officially released the name of their son, Aleph.  An Israeli television show first claimed to know what the little one was called back in June after Natalie gave birth. "Good Evening with Guy Pines" first reported that the couple named their first born Aleph, which is the first letter of the Hebew alphabet. Natalie, of course is a native of Israel, her birth name being Hershlag.

Aleph can also be spelled "Alef" and it's esoteric meaning in Judaic Kabbalah means "primordial one that contains all number". At least it has real meaning and isn't something completely made up, like some other Hollywood baby names.

Just how much did Natalie Portman dance in “Black Swan”?

It's MEEEE, Mommy!

Timed perfectly with the release of 'Black Swan' on dvd (I'm just sayin'),  a dance double for Natalie Portman is saying that the Academy Award-winning actress only did 5% of her own dancing for the film. Ballerina Sara Lane told Entertainment Weekly that producers told her not to talk publicly about her during award's season. This came after the choreographer, and Portman's fiance, Benjamin Millepied told the L.A. Times that his future wifey did 85% of the dancing for the movie.

Yeah, this move was super hard, you guys.

Director Darren Aronofsky released a statement through Fox Searchlight studios:

“Here is the reality. I had my editor count shots. There are 139 dance shots in the film. 111 are Natalie Portman untouched. 28 are her dance double Sarah Lane. If you do the math that’s 80% Natalie Portman. What about duration? The shots that feature the double are wide shots and rarely play for longer than one second. There are two complicated longer dance sequences that we used face replacement.Even so, if we were judging by time over 90% would be Natalie Portman.

And to be clear, Natalie did dance on pointe in pointe shoes. If you look at the final shot of the opening prologue, which lasts 85 seconds, and was danced completely by Natalie, she exits the scene on pointe. That is completely her without any digital magic. I am responding to this to put this to rest and to defend my actor. Natalie sweated long and hard to deliver a great physical and emotional performance.  And I don’t want anyone to think that’s not her they are watching. It is.”

"Whaaaa?"

So here's what I think happened, the actual ballerina filmed numerous scenes of her dancing which were then cut or edited to make it look like Natalie did all the dancing in her scenes. I'm sure she practiced and trained long and hard, but it takes years to learn how to do what Nina in the movie was supposed to be good at. Of course now Sara Lane looks like a butthurt bitch. Portman's co-star Mila Kunis defended her saying, “Natalie danced her ass off. I think it’s unfortunate that this is coming out and taking attention away from (the praise) Natalie deserved and got.”

You know who really lost all that weight, thinned his hair and acted crazy, Christian Bale, that's who!  As our friend Roger Ebert stated though, Natalie won her Oscar for acting, not dancing.
