Courtney Love played Bumbershoot in Seattle tonight with her band HOLE - and I missed it. I'm bummed, but I can tell I'm getting old when I don't have the energy to stand for 6 hours (at least) in the cold, damp evening at Memorial Stadium underneath the Space Needle.

Oh, I've been to Bumbershoot before. I've seen Beck, The Black Keys, Stone Temple Pilots, and sure--it's fun. For awhile. Until you feel the dark and achy chill of the evening. I'm just too much of a biddy now to truly enjoy that dirtiness that is nighttime at Bumbershoot. And when autumn began here in Seattle about 2 weeks ago? In mid-August. No. Thankyouverymuch.
I love this song...and I love Courtney. Even (especially?) with all of her Cray-Cray.
