OhdearLort. Here we go again. William and Kate's privacy was invaded during a holiday in the South of France by paparazzi who literally got the "money shots" of a topless Kate. Those photos are slapped all over a French magazine called, Closer.
St. James's Palace has confirmed that the topless pictures are of Kate and issued a Royal Statement:
"Their Royal Highnesses have been hugely saddened to learn that a French publication and a photographer have invaded their privacy in such a grotesque and totally unjustifiable manner.
"The incident is reminiscent of the worst excesses of the press and paparazzi during the life of Diana, Princess of Wales, and all the more upsetting to The Duke and Duchess for being so.
"Their Royal Highnesses had every expectation of privacy in the remote house. It is unthinkable that anyone should take such photographs, let alone publish them.
"Officials acting on behalf of Their Royal Highnesses are consulting with lawyers to consider what options may be available to The Duke and Duchess.
"The Duke and Duchess remain focused currently on their Tour of Singapore, Malaysia, Solomon Islands and Tuvalu on behalf of HM The Queen."
Naturally, Closer editor Laurence Pieau saw no harm in running the photos whatsoever!
"These photos are not in the least shocking. They show a young woman sunbathing topless, like the millions of women you see on beaches."
I think Catherine, the Duchess of Cambridge would beg to differ.
What are your thoughts? Is this Princess Diana all over again? Should Kate have "known better"? Both? Give us your thoughts...
