True Blood Recap, “Let’s Get Out of Here”

After the showdown between the vamps and witches, it looked like Sookie was done for. But they wouldn't let our blonde heroine die, would they? We'll get to that in a bit.

The saga of baby Mikey and Mavis took up most of the episode, and the resolution was uneventful. Mavis, still in the body of Lafayette, takes Mikey to Hoyt's house which was her house when she was alive. After she forces him out with Andy's gun, he calls Jason for help. Jason being Jason, is more concerned with the fact that Hoyt isn't wearing pants. A standoff ensues, until Arlene calls Jesus who talks to Mavis and explains that Mikey isn't her baby. Later they dig up the ground behind the house and find the bones of Mavis and her child, now her soul is at ease or whatever happens to ghosts when you find their bodies.
I was really hoping that Mikey was some evil, demon baby who was going to take over Bon Temps. The highlight of all of that was Lafayette being not all that upset about Mavis taking over his body. "You're welcome, bitch." After all that, Hoyt is still mad over his breakup with Jessica, even putting her things in the "monster box." How childish. He asks Jason to take them to her, and they end up having sex on the back of his truck while Taylor Swift plays in the background. Why do you do these things Alan Ball? WHY?!

Meanwhile, Marcus goes to Merlotte's looking for Sam, who is camping with Luna and her daughter Emma. Tommy takes it upon himself to protect his brother by shifting into him and showing up at the pack's bike shop. Alcide stops Marcus and the others from completely beating the crap out of him and carries Tommy out. He's good at carrying people. The little we did see of Alcide this episode was more than enough. He sleeps in the nude! Debbie is still a little jealous of his friendship with Sookie, especially after he takes her home to safety after the fight in the cemetery. She's also still doing V. Sookie isn't dead, but for a minute there I wouldn't have minded if she had gone to the big fairy farm in the sky. While she is recovering, Bill graciously gave her his blood to drink, she dreams about a threesome with him and Eric. I know this was supposed to be sexy but it was kind of awkward. Sookie's lingerie was cute though.
At the MoonGoddess Emporium, Antonia keeps Tara, Holly and the other witches from leaving while Eric hidden in the bathroom. None of them are as powerful as Antonia, but you'd think they try to come up with a spell to unlock the doors. Debbie comes to Sookie to offer her help and the two go to the MoonGoddess to try to rescue Eric. Tara tells Sookie where Bill is, and what Antonia's plan is. They're going to ruin the "Festival of Tolerance" held by Bill and Nan Flanagan by basically killing a bunch of people. Party poopers. While Nan, in her best Jackie O get up, goes on about vampire/human unity, Eric lures other vamps into the hotel and Antonia commands them to kill. Just as Eric rushes towards Bill, Sookie screams at him to run.
So is this the end of Bill? Probably not, but why wasn't Nan more worried about being attacked? There were only a few other vamps there, as Bill exclaimed "it's like having a civil rights protest without any black people." Now that fabulous black ghost lady is gone, I guess Lafayette is back to slinging burgers and wearing questionable hairstyles. Unless him and Jesus join the witches again.
There are only a couple more episodes left, so pick it up, True Blood!
