True Blood Recap, ‘Soul of Fire’

Well here is the penultimate episode of True Blood. The battle of the witches and the vampires has come to a head, and while the witches won the battles, I think the vampires won the war.

Marnie has taken Sookie and the others back into the MoonGoddess Emporium, while the vampires are outside ready to blow it up. One of the witches, Casey, tries to get free, but Marnie kills her. Antonia briefly leaves Marnie's body because she killed someone who was innocent. So Marnie uses a binding spell to keep them together. Not creepy at all. Jesus and Lafayette use Casey's body to try to free Antonia's spirit.
Outside, Jason convinces the vamps to not blow the MoonGoddess to kingdom come because Sookie and other humans are still inside. "F*ckin' Sookie!" Marnie uses Sookie to try to bargain with the vampires, she offers her for the lives of Eric and Bill. Pam, having none of this, uses a grenade but it dissolves because of the protection spell around the building. Eric yells at her for almost hurting Sookie, and later tells her to leave. Sookie has been your girlfriend for what, a week, but he's known Pam for decades and that's how he treats her? Oh, and stop making me feel sorry for Pam! Jason is injured in the blast, and Jessica gives him her blood to help him heal.
Marnie makes the other witches, and Sookie, necromance the vampires outside and just as they are about to be fried in the protective sun spell, Sookie uses her powers, and Jesus uses his brujo powers to unbind Marnie and Antonia. Bill and Eric storm the MoonGoddess to talk to confront Marnie, where Eric rips sycophant Roy's heart out and Bill shoots Marnie, making an earlier vision of hers come true.
Jesus seems broken up over Marnie's death, but don't worry about it dude, she had to go. There was even more drama with the werewolves and shifters. Sam and Alcide are looking for Marcus, who has kidnapped his daughter Emma, and is trying to get Debbie to run away with him. When they get to Alcide's house, Sam and Marcus fight it out like men, no shifting, but it's Alcide that kills Marcus, snapping his neck. He also breaks it off with a devastated Debbie. Girl, how could you choose Marcus over Alcide? I mean at least Alcide has all of his hair.

The episode focused mostly on the witch/vampire showdown, and Sam trying to get his revenge, but we did get to see Andy trying to make it back home after Terry abandoned him in the woods. He spots a light and then sees a woman named Maurella, a fairy.
I guess they're all still searching for Sookie. She hits him with a blast of light after she smells the V that's still in his blood, but after reading his thoughts she asks him to protect her. They then have sex, because the woods is where everyone is getting it on in Bon Temps, and well, faeries aren't picky.
Later Andy tells Arlene what happened but it makes it sound even crazier than he usually is. So I think we'll be seeing more of Andy's fairy girlfriend again. Because things can never be too calm for long, as Jesus and Lafayette go to bed, Laffy sees the spirit of Marnie above him and then she enters his body. I wonder if it's the hair or the makeup that attracts crazy dead women to Lafayette?
A couple of things I want answered or addressed in the finale: Will Alcide become pack leader now that Marcus is dead? Who will Sookie choose, because apparently I'm still supposed to care about that situation. Will Jason tell Hoyt about him and Jessica? Can we please do something about Lafayette's hair?
Until next week.
