Alexander Skarsgård gets sexy for Interview’s June/July issue. Interviewed by Arcade Fire’s Win Butler, Skarsgård talks about how he picks his roles and why he doesn’t want people to confuse him with his character on True Blood.
“I do get a lot of scripts sent to me where they basically want me to play Eric from ‘True Blood,’ but just a different name in a different movie,” he says. That’s not interesting to me. I don’t want to play a character that I’ve played for four years on a television show, change the name, and make him a zombie instead of a vampire.”
Of course, most of his fans know Skarsgård as viking vampire, Eric Northman, he does have other projects in the works, including a big screen adaptation of the popular game Battleship (wut?), and later this year he’ll be co-starring the in the remake of the 1971 movie Straw Dogs with his girlfriend Kate Bosworth.
True Blood returns June 26, and I can’t wait!
