TV Gets Into The Halloween Spirit (PICTURES)
I always look forward to seeing what costumes the morning and afternoon talk show hosts will wear for Halloween. Lady Gaga, 'Glee' and 'The Jersey Shore' seemed to be the most popular costumes this year, and I'm sure I'll be seeing a lot of meat dresses and hair poofs tomorrow.
Since she joined the show in 2001, Regis Philbin and Kelly Ripa have become the King and Queen of morning show Halloween. They go all out every year, even their producer Michael Gelman gets into the act. This year they did 8 different looks, including Katy Perry and Elmo.
'CBS Early Show' host Maggie Rodriguez put on three layers of butt pads (superfunny) to be Kim Kardashian. Erica Hill did a decent Lady Gaga and Harry Smith was Glee's Sue Sylvester.
The ladies of 'The View' have great costumes every year as well, this year each host represented a different decade. Elisabeth as Joan Collins (80s), Sherri as Grace Jones (70s), Whoopi was a go-go dancer (60s), Barbara was Rita Hayworth (40s) and Joy as Little Orphan Annie with Bill Getty as Daddy Warbucks.
Rachael Ray cooked with Pee-wee Herman, dressed as Jessica Rabbit. [Editor's note: DivaJulia loathes Rachael Ray as much as she LOVES Pee-wee. That's saying a lot both ways.]
Wendy Williams did three different looks, two of which were inspired by 'I Love Lucy', how you doin'!
I love Ellen's costumes, they're always so much fun. This year she went as Snooki from 'The Jersey Shore' hair poof. Note the Cabbage Patch Doll as Snooki!
I don't watch 'The Jersey Shore', I feel like enough people watch it for me. Two of the cast members, Vinny and Ronnie, dressed up as their cast mates Snookie and Pauly D. Try to make sense of what you can.
'The Today Show' crew always has fun with their costumes. Remember Matt and Al dressed up as P. Diddy and Jennifer Lopez? This year we got Meredith as Lady Gaga, Al as Superman, Ann Curry as Amelia Earhart, Natalie Morales as Justin Bieber, and Tamron Hall as President Obama. Matt was MIA but Will Ferrell and Tina Fey joined them dressed as their Megamind characters.
Hoda Kotb put up with Kathie Lee another morning to play Ethel to her Lucy. Sara Hines looked more like John Travolta in Grease than Little Rickey.
