“Twilight Saga: Eclipse” Trailer – FINALLY.

Sexy times!

I don't usually dip my toe into the "Twilight" swill, but this is for Patrick...and all the other girls out there who are flipping their weaves over the new "Eclipse" trailer.

Patrick and Edward - Forbidden Lovers

Patrick's eyes have even turned a different color.  He's One of Them now. (Even though he cheats on Edward with Jacob (aka Snoutner).

  1. How come everything that is supposed to be “romantic” and “chivalrous” sounds like a mortal threat? I know we needed a huge phenomenon in the post Harry Potter world…but it really needed to be this? UGH.

  2. Stuart, I saw a psychiatrist speak about the whole Edward and Bella romantic dynamic, which was described as completely abusive. I also found this outline describing this Edward and Bella’s questionable relationship:

    “According to the National Domestic Violence hotline, these are some signs that you may be in an emotionally or physically abusive relationship. Does your partner:

    * Look at you or act in ways that scare you?
    Check.

    * Control what you do, who you see or talk to or where you go?
    ‘Stay away from the werewolves. I love you.’

    * Make all of the decisions?
    Check.

    * Act like the abuse is no big deal, it’s your fault, or even deny doing it?
    ‘If I wasn’t so attracted to you, I wouldn’t have to break up with you.’

    * Threaten to commit suicide?
    ‘I just can’t live without you. In fact, I’ll run to Italy and try suicide by vampire if anything happens to you.’

    * Threaten to kill you?
    On their first date.”

    I’m pleased that you, as a male noticed this…too bad more MOTHERS aren’t discussing this with their daughters – probably because they are just as guilty for falling for the so-called “romanticism” in wolf’s and/or vampire’s clothing.

  3. God I hope this is the last one!

  4. JB: There’s no way…we’ll be tortured again, no doubt, by the Twilight Pouters.*

    *Thanks, Cate for the phrase.

    xoxo j

  5. I can’t stand any of the Twilight books, movies or the madness. I am thankful my daughter hasn’t been caught up in the swirl either. I do however always smile and giggle a bit when I see the picture of Patrick and Edward. :) Too cute.
