Warrant Lead Singer, Jani Lane Found Dead at 47
Who could forget this face?
Wow. Another rocker dead--probably from substance abuse. Former Warrant lead-singer Jani Lane was found dead at a Comfort Inn in Woodland Hills, California today.
via TMZ:
"Lane famously penned the band's biggest hit "Cherry Pie" back in 1989 ... before eventually leaving the band to pursue a solo career.
Lane had a history of alcohol-related issues -- he was ordered to serve 120 days in jail after he was arrested for DUI in 2010 ... his second DUI in two years.
Lane was 47."
RIP, Jani.
Again, no cause of death has been announced, but I guess we can theorize that it may be have been from one substance or another given his history. Sad story, indeed.
