The music world lost another legend today. Singer Whitney Houston died Saturday afternoon and was found in her Beverly Hilton Hotel room, Houston's Kristen Foster confirmed. The hotel is the site for Clive Davis' annual Pre-Grammys party. Thereare some rumblings that the party will still go on, and there are already plans by the Grammys to add a tribute to Sunday night's show with Jennifer Hudson possibly singing.

Since her debut in 1985, Whitney sold over 200 million albums and singles worldwide, won 6 Grammys, 30 Billboard awards, 22 American Music Awards and 2 Emmys. She stared in four feature films, including The Bodyguard and Waiting To Exhale. The former in which she made her acting debut and the film's soundtrack gave her the biggest hit of her career with "I Will Always Love You." Whitney's last film was to be a remake of the 1976 movie Sparkle co-starring Jordin Sparks.

After a three year courtship, Houston married New Edition singer Bobby Brown in 1992 and gave birth to their only child, Bobbi Christina, the following year. She is survived by them, her mother Cissy Houston and cousin Dionne Warwick.

There was an outpouring of love and condolences on Twitter. Many of her friends, peers and collaborators shared their memories of Whitney, including Mariah Carey, Bette Midler and Smokey Robinson.

Whitney Houston was a true talent, and she will truly be missed by us all.
